Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), plus the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.

What we collect

  • Identity & contact: name, business name, phone, email, ABN, service area.
  • Interaction data: calls, call recordings & summaries, chat transcripts, form inputs, bookings.
  • Technical data: IP, device info, referrer, UTM parameters, pixels, and cookies.
  • Business assets (optional): logos, brand colours, FAQs, service lists, photos.

How we use it

  • Provide and improve Booked-Jobs Infrastructure (capture → qualify → book).
  • Send service messages (confirmations, reminders) and marketing with opt-out.
  • Generate performance reporting (calls, chats, bookings, reviews, GBP activity).
  • Security, diagnostics, and legal compliance.

Lawful bases

Consent (e.g., marketing), performance of a contract (clients), and legitimate interests (service improvement, fraud/security).

Sharing

We use vetted service providers (hosting, analytics, telephony, message gateways). We require confidentiality and APP-aligned safeguards. We don't sell personal information.

International transfers

Some vendors may process data overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure APP-compliant protection.

Retention

Keep data only as long as necessary for delivery, legal, and audit purposes, then securely delete or de-identify.

Security

Least-privilege access, MFA for operators, logging of configuration changes, encrypted transport, segregated environments where applicable.
